RADIO: Alfaship Promotes Maritime Week Las Palmas In 'El Espejo Canario'

The radio magazine 'El Espejo Canario' broadcast yesterday, within the Blue Economy space sponsored by the Canary Islands Maritime Cluster, an interview with Iryna Krasnikava, commercial director of Alfaship Shipping Agency, to publicize the details of the Maritime Week Las Palmas congress 2022 which will take place next week. Alfaship appears as a silver sponsor of this international event.

The Maritime Week Las Palmas 2022 is an international event, promoted by Petrospot, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet the most important people in the maritime sector and, in addition, they will be able to take a guided tour of the Port of La Luz.

The event is aimed at entrepreneurs from the international shipping sector, shipowners and operators, ship managers, suppliers and merchants and shipping agents, as well as professionals related to the sector. Throughout the week, various activities will be carried out such as a high-level conference, a training course, a familiarization tour of the port and some networking activities.

Training Course

Among the activities to be carried out, the training course entitled An Introduction to Shipping and Bunkering stands out. It will be given by the expert in shipping and bunkering Nigel Draffin, who will explain the different types of maritime traffic, the forms of financing, the methods to resolve the legal requirements of trade between different ports, the subscription of insurance, etc.

Draffin has developed a long career spanning more than fifty years in the sector, from Shell Tankers, which he joined in 1966, during his time at Shell International Marine and Shell's R&D, to his latest responsibilities at LQM Petroleum Services. He has written more than ten books on bunkering published by Petrospot.
